Speaker: Lynn Williams
A 20-year beekeeper and inventor, with forty plus years in Industrial Automation Controls & Systems. Lynn will discuss science vs. varroa mites and how science plus technology yields a solution. He will interpret a (1996-97) one-year study that revealed temperature would terminate the varroa mite. European studies in 2002, revealed that a controlled temperature coupled with time, kills varroa mites in the hive and under the capped brood cells. Yielding healthier bees, a larger colony, increased honey production, and less stress on the colony. In 2010, Lynn used these existing studies as the platform for testing and confirming his results of his own research.
